Review on 🍹 Oster Blender 6-Cup Glass Jar: Black and Clear Lid for Superior Blending by Keith Howe

I threw my original glass blender jar off the counter and it shattered into a million pieces so I needed a replacement. I checked out Oster's website for replacement jars and spoke to one of their customer service representatives to find out which ones would work with my blender as there are many different ones on their website. Turns out ordering from Revain was a little cheaper, as ordering directly from Oster was $10 plus about $8 shipping ($18 total). So I ordered this replacement from Revain for a few bucks less. At first I was frustrated that it wasn't exactly the same shape as the original (which had flat sides) as I liked the look of the original, but after using this replacement I like it more than the original in several ways. Reasons: - The rounded shape makes it MUCH easier to scrape down the sides to get the pureed (now it's so easy to get out the last bits of pureed tomatoes or smoothies). !) - I find that the rounded shape is actually a bit easier to clean with a sponge. I'm not sure if this is legal or I think it's easier. This replacement jug (for 6 cups) is actually slightly larger than the original (for 5 cups). This little addition means so much to me. This replacement has a MUCH BETTER spout so it's easy to pour without making a mess. Note that there is NOTHING in the base - no blade. , rubber rings or a plastic base that screws into the blender. Make sure you save these parts! It comes with a plastic lid and a clear plastic dome on top. Overall I think $16 is a bit for what it is, but it's definitely better than paying $70 to buy the entire mixer new. UPDATE: Looks like the price has come down a bit since I bought mine.
