Incredibly fast when/when it works. This drive is mostly unmounted when plugged in and accidentally ejected during use. The cable cannot be replaced and OWC sent me several replacement cables, all with the same issue. I ended up sending mine back and they billed me for it. It is better to look for a solution with a replaceable cable. I have multiple external drives and this is the only model that has ever given me problems.
