Fits right into my MacBook's headphone slot I used to use white headphones but I had too many white cords that got tangled easily and I noticed that I've wasted a lot of time of your life untangling the white cables from your charger, USB Lightning phone charger and Lightning headphones. for phone. Using a black cable instead worked really well, keeping my cords from getting tangled as easily and allowing me to find things on my desk. I was just concerned that having 4 prongs instead of 3 might cause problems. My previous headphones only had 3 pins. These 4 pin headphones work well. They are also marked "R" and "L" so you can tell which ear they fit. The sound quality is excellent. These headphones are basically the same as my backlit headphones that I use with my iPhone, which have a volume control on the cable itself. Oh, and they also have a neat feature where you can press the "phone" icon on the cord. This was being played by my Mac's Music app. Didn't know I had a bunch of old recordings of my piano playing. It was a real pleasure to hear some of my old improvised pieces that I recorded on the piano. Very happy with these headphones.
