Review on BRUNTON 8x22 LITE-TECH Monocular by Michael Ringgold

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great affordable Brunton Lite-Tech scope 81-00682

Ideal for indoor and outdoor pistol and target shooting. It's so hard to see where you're hitting the target beyond 10 yards with 22 calibers, let alone larger calibers. I have read many reviews and reviewed many monoculars and for me this is the best! I have expensive Leupold VX-1 and VX-2 scopes, a Leupold spotting scope, and a Leupold RX-1000 TBR DNA rangefinder, and this monocular is more portable and easier to use than any of my other scopes I've mentioned. If you know anything about optics, you know that Leupold is one of the top optics manufacturers in any scope group. That's not to say the Brunton Lite Tech 81-00682 is any better than my Leupold, but for my purposes it best suits my needs and allows me to quickly see where I hit the target. My Leupold spotting scope is also great for this purpose, but pulling out a $500 spotting scope for long-range training is overkill and inconvenient for distances under 100 yards. The lens is small, as is the area you are looking at. You cannot use this area to track what is moving. It works best in a fixed area like a target. I used it at 50 yards and it was great. I'm not sure what 100 yards is, but my eyesight isn't very good, and at 50 yards, when I can "clearly" see my hits with this inexpensive scope, I'm happy camping. If I shoot further than 50 meters, I pull out the Leupold spotting scope. A PLUS. Buy, try, break. Just come back and don't ask any questions. Where else can you achieve such customer satisfaction if not at Revain!
