The handles are mysterious china wood and one trolley had quite a large swelling of the gum on the surface to be removed, a few seconds on the belt sander and everything was perfect. For the price you couldn't beat the kit, I've used it to fix a fender and trim panels on an old tractor and repair broken toolboxes on a farm truck. If you expect a professional level, this set is NOT for you. A hammer for embossing, made in the USA, costs $100. I bought this whole set for $30, three hammers and four carts. The hammers are a bit smaller than the professional sets I've used in the past, but at $30 it's a good deal for what you're getting.
