Review on LG SL5Y High Resolution Sound 🔊 Bar with DTS Virtual:X, 2.1 Channel - Black by Dave White

If the TV is switched on but not used for several minutes, it goes into standby mode with a screen saver. Then this soundbar turns off. There are no settings for this. If you later wake up the TV, the soundbar will NOT turn on. You have to go through a tedious process (menu, down, down, down, down, right, right, right, select) to reinstall HDMI ARC. sucks. Terrible experience. Here's an initial check: The TV turns on, but the soundbar doesn't sync, so I'm stuck with crappy audio coming out of the TV speakers. I need to find the remote for the soundbar and turn it on manually or use the TV remote by just setting it to ARC. Everything is set up correctly, it's just a product bug. I don't think it's related to my bar or my TV, I think it's just poorly designed and made. However, if you have an LG TV, could it be? about as good as you can get. I first bought a Polk Soundbar and it was even worse. I feel like all the mandatory power saving rules are crippling the user experience. That plus corporate greed. I don't know if the soundbar integration will be better than the new Vizio models, but I prefer almost everything about my 2015 Vizio TV's user experience and bar integration to my 2019 LG TV and soundbar.
