Review on Authentic Leather Casual Shoes by Alpine Swiss by Brandon Daughenbaugh

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not bad for the price, but the strap falls apart quickly.

So I have had 3 of these straps in the last year and while they look good the strap itself holds up and the buckle itself is quite strong but each of these straps has only lasted about 3 months 1-2 times per week (and then usually only a few hours). So we're looking at around 48-96 hours total wear time. (12 days of continuous use assuming you wear it 8 hours a day) The problem is that the metal loop that holds the end of the belt to the buckle has a pair of metal pins that hold the loop at the top and bottom. The bottom pin always falls out after a few months of fairly light use. It's not a "wearing" part, so I'm sure it's not because it's being used too roughly or too small. The bottom pin just isn't secured well enough, so it falls out leaving a loop that tends to snag diagonally on the belt. Otherwise I really like the belt. If it wasn't for that pesky pin falling out so often or so regularly this would be perfect for what I need from a belt. My only real complaint would be that it takes too little force to separate the buckle from the belt, just enough to rotate the buckle between sides. It's too weak to bridge the gap between its pieces when you bend over, but this piece has never broken on mine, so while it's a little annoying, it doesn't seem weak enough to break.
