Spent a day taking the door apart to get to the actuator. Not the easiest task as it can take a long time to access. Switched to the old one and found it doesn't look right. Still installed. It turned out that the key turns with difficulty and is very rough to the touch. I dismantled the door again and studied the drive carefully. Come and find out that the socket that the ball fits in is not the right size. The reason was too many injections of plastic. This looks like a plastic mold problem as you could see the growth was smooth and shaped. I ended up having to uninstall it and reinstall the old one. It was the perfect Saturday.
