Review on 🌈 My Little Pony Hair Chalk Combs 6-Pack Toy: Magical Colors for Vibrant Manes! by Ian Welch

This "chalk" is not suitable for children. For those who don't know, it's more of a sticky, oily substance like dry oil pastels, NOT dry like blackboard chalk or sidewalk chalk. We have tried our best to apply it. There were no instructions, so I googled a YouTube video to see how to apply "hair chalk" in general and gave it a try. The comb simply tangled or pulled her hair out. We decided to take the chalk out of the comb applicator and try applying it by hand, but no color appeared after repeatedly rubbing the same (sparse) strand of hair. From time to time a few small, crumb-like pieces would break off and stick to her hair. When we tried to rub the chalk, strands of hair would get stuck in the piece of chalk and form more tangles. It just made her hair sticky and she hated the feeling so we had to wash it off. I decided to try it on my hair since my kid was in a rush to apply it. I pulled out a strand of hair and rubbed it with chalk several times. I tried well because I was determined to make my daughter happy and see if I could get her to work. I understood why she was crying as it was quite painful for me to use as an adult. I don't know if all hair chalks are supposed to be like this, or if it was just this brand, or if just this particular box turned out to be fake. but I will never try to chalk myself or my daughters again. Thumbs down.
