I love the look of this shoe and would recommend it. I have a size 15 EEEE foot and I am beside myself. I was able to find a pair that looked just as good, didn't cost me a whole day's wages, and really FIT! Odor: It takes a little time to wear off but I didn't find it any more intrusive than a new pair of trainers and it almost completely disappeared within the first 2-3 weeks. If you are very sensitive to smell, do not buy these shoes. but good luck finding alternatives. This is the only issue keeping her from getting 5 stars in my book and the only reason. Wear: I don't see the sole wearing out faster than any of my single-soled Allen Edmonds ($300+). When they wear out, I take them to a local cobbler for $35 with heels and soles, just like the rest of my shoes. a few damp cloths and no need to polish them to wear 2-3 days a week. I don't know if it's the toe design or if you have to go a little different to accommodate the longer toe of the shoe, but I like that they don't look worn out soon after polishing.
