Because you're (not) that smooth
I was basically expecting sandpaper. I think it is, but it's very gentle on the skin, even if you accidentally apply to an area that isn't the thick, rough patch you were trying to smooth out. The shape is very comfortable in my hand and the color is fantastic! It looks shiny and attractive. It's easy to use and does a really great job of smoothing things out and getting rid of those thick dead skin patches.
