Review on Hoover CH30000 🧹 PortaPower Lightweight Commercial Vacuum by Tina Peterson

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! I bought this vacuum cleaner about 5 years ago and was so impressed that I recently ordered another one. Hoover must have redesigned the lever that attaches the main vacuum hose to the device, and it is believed that the same lever prevents the bag door from opening. The new vacuum I just received has a lever that doesn't do two things. it either holds the tube in place or keeps the bag door closed. The inability of this lever to do both means you have to keep a third hand available (if you have a third hand) to hold the vacuum together while vacuuming. Very bad design change. Never had this problem with the same vacuum cleaner bought 5 years ago. Thinking it was an anomaly I contacted Revain and they kindly sent me a new vacuum cleaner. I received it today and it has the same problem. The problem is not the anomaly. It seems to have been a very bad Hoover design change. I have contacted Hoover Customer Service and have not heard anything as to how they plan to resolve this issue or if I need to purchase a vacuum from another vendor. I will update this review as soon as I hear from Hoover. Meanwhile, stay away from this vacuum cleaner. TO UPDATE. Hoover didn't respond to my email so I called them and spoke to someone who just gave me the local Hoover repair shop contact for warranty claims. Before taking a brand new vacuum to the repair center, I called them to describe my problem (with two brand new vacuums). I'm glad I called. The repair center said if I bring them a new portable vacuum cleaner THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM if Hoover makes the product that way. Wow, who knew Hoover would decide that their customers would tolerate such a poor quality product.
