As a result of a series of unpleasant events, I encountered a clogged print head - there was no magenta - all other colors worked fine. I ordered this product without much hope and as a last resort. I've already used the printer software to clean the printer, but it didn't help. When the printhead cleaner arrived, I followed the instructions exactly, which turned out to be a mistake. My advice is to only remove the ink cartridge for the head that needs cleaning. When I took out all the cartridges the other heads were dry and clogged - the magenta worked fine after cleaning but the rest were worn out. I ended up having to clean them a couple of times too, but eventually all the streaks on the nozzle printout are perfect. Note: After using the cleaner, you must perform a software cleaning of the printhead - ink may get on the printhead. Only gripe is that the kit only comes with two sheets of blotting paper - not enough for the amount of cleaning product that comes with the kit. I think any blotting paper will do, but who has blotting paper?
