Review on Fluval Boxwood Grass Aquarium Ornament by Toni Miller

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beautiful! (after a small change)

My beta tester's aquarium is a bit run down, so I decided to spice it up with a new decoration! I have a Fluval Chi 6.6g tank and in the basket were some rocks with a bamboo sculpture in the middle. I came to Amazon (my site that has never let me down) looking for something to spice things up a bit. I saw the Fluval chi and plant decoration and thought it would be perfect for my Beta petri dish. I read some reviews that said all the decoration didn't stay down but floated up which made me a little tired. I decided to buy it anyway because it looked so cool and I figured if it turned out to be useless I wouldn't really lose much for $10. And now, two days later, my decoration arrived! Unfortunately, the reviews about swimming the whole play turned out to be true. Luckily I used a little bit of my brain power to come up with a quick fix and you'll never get the wiser if I don't tell you. You see, there are gaps at the bottom of the grass patch because the grass "sprout" in patches, if you will. So the gaps between the grasses are perfect little hiding spots for a few rocks. And stones are known to sink! TA Dah! No more floating decorations. It turned out to be a lot easier than trying to tie everything together or just throwing it away and losing $10. Now he looks fantastic in my tank and I think my Beta is swimming a little more lively thanks to his spectacular new decoration. (Though maybe I'm just trying to apply human qualities to an animal that cares anyway. But hey. At least one of us can actually enjoy it!)
