My previous fans made a noise like angry swarm of bees and I was overheating. In general, MSI hasn't done a good job in choosing fan designs for its laptops. I read many reviews and this product seemed promising, I'm glad I chose it. By design, fans are usually difficult to replace (not the manufacturer's fault) but the products arrived intact and when I pocketed the replacements they fitted perfectly. It's been about 2 months since I installed them and they work great and meet the cooling needs of this laptop. I also have a stand with a cut out at the bottom to allow more airflow to the fans and that seems to have helped. It was a great purchase to extend the life of my laptop a bit.
