Contacted those. Logitech support to see if these issues are covered under warranty. A week of correspondence and confirmed that they are. Then 2 days of running with a replacement, and finally I received a mouse without defects and of proper quality. Hooray, I thought, now we'll set everything up, and especially DPI, one of the main reasons to buy the ated M500 (M500S). On the manufacturer's page, the description says "Set the desired sensitivity level within 400-4000 dpi" and what was my bewilderment when such an option was not found in the settings at all. As a result: If you need DPI control in a familiar package, forget it. If you are considering m500s as a replacement for your M500, don't do it, better buy the M500, which has been proven over the years, because.
