The stereo cable connector does not have labeled connectors.

The patch cord looks solid enough, but lacks a label identifying the right and left jacks. Others use color coding to identify which 1/4 inch plug connects to the 3.5mm plug tip and which connects to the ring. The lack of markings or color coding means the correct connection is made by trial and error.
