Note: The maker supplied a review sample for evaluation, the opinion of the product is my own personal viewHaving tested a lot of wireless keyboards this one from Rii sits closer to the top of their range (the remote bar style model seems to be the top dog with programmable buttons and the IR remote built in) However this style has the more "hand friendly" curved shape that some might prefer. It's quite a light unit though the plastics do have decent density to them and the keyboard has a reassuring click when keys are pushed it does feel a step up in build over the entry models.Standard QWERTY layout with an orange FN button this is used to access the top row F keys and activate the air mouse mode (the AltGr key has this function) as well as a few other key presses such as backlight control, Del, home key (for Android) etc. Quite logical and clearly laid out (USA keyboard). Full back-light on this pad including the media controls at the top these two dials have on the left side the volume/track skip/play and pause on the right the OK button and cursor keys with home/end/page up/down doubled up via the FN button. The two shoulder buttons act just like a normal mouse for L/R clicks with a somewhat larger "flat" control pad in the middle you can double tap this to select as well.Onto the actual performance nothing to complain about here because the keys are responsive and firm and the track pad is accurate but it is smaller than a laptop touch pad so you might want to adjust the pointer speed it worked well for me though during testing. What makes this stand out a bit is the "air mouse" activate this and you can directly control the cursor by moving the pad around in your hands, you don't usually get this on a small hand held keyboard and it's very useful particularly for Android TV boxes or media computers not to mention presentations.Charging is via the top micro USB port it takes a couple of hours to go from flat to full no information on the battery size though the back light will hit it a bit even so I've been testing this all week and the battery seems to be quite good endurance wise. Range was approx. 8 metres clear line of sight pretty good compared to some models I have tried and I didn't have any obvious signal loss. Quickly touching on the 3.5mm audio jack this allows you to connect headphones, and there is a built in microphone. The microphone arguably the most useful addition if you are using Viber/Skype or VOIP software this will prove invaluable and saves the hassle of connecting up a separate one. The microphone is located top right below the control pad so it won't get covered by accident I had no problems getting this to work on the Win 10 pc and Android box I used it's more than up to the job subject to the touch-pad being held reasonably close (ie normal sitting position)Any areas I would change? Well this is more expensive than some lower models but it does offer the air mouse function and audio out/built in microphone so it depends on what you're after if you need those extras it could save the hassle of picking up an air mouse or microphone. Potential weaker points the back cover which houses the nano USB receiver it doesn't give access to the battery, I would have liked to have an easy way to change the battery and I consider this the only real weak point of the unit; perhaps an updated model will address this. That said this is a fine higher end mini keyboard and has some very useful extras included.
