Small toys, phones and dirt always find their way into the gaps on non-removable seat cushions (which are soft and not hard or compact enough for a foot to fit through gaps) my little boy) and between the seats and the back of the sofa, so I covered the seats with quilts or thin blankets. However, they have to be rearranged several times a day and I still find toys slipping through the gap in the back. XL fits my large 3 seater sofa with recliners on either end, although I would undo the bottom edge of the cover on the side I want to recline. It's soft and stretchy, and yes, the parts that were meant to pull it up popped out at times, especially when a rebellious kid jumped up and down on it at times, or when I'm using a chair, but it's easier and easier to do it to put on again. it lasts longer than if i used duvets. It also keeps things from falling into crevices, looks good and is easy to clean, so I'm very happy with it. I bought a pool tube to cut down to a smaller size to use as rim inserts, but since we have deeper seats and the lid doesn't come off easily I haven't tried it yet. We've only had cover for a week, no pets, so far it's holding up well. I have a dark brown sofa so I bought a chocolate color. It's the cheapest I've found at Revain and the jacquard adds texture and design. I ordered another color alternating with chocolate brown.
