I bought this based on the reviews and because it may not be made in China. Well done in China. Unless it's a standard can, this can opener is ridiculously bad at opening a can. Standard can of olives no problem. Forget a big can of chicken, you can try opening a big can of beans with your teeth. Heavy can of pineapple pieces - take a hammer and a screwdriver, it's more effective. I'm very disappointed and can't even return it. I go back to the manual can opener. Don't believe the ad - don't buy this can opener.
