Fairly light shoe rack but requires some force to assemble. Keep in mind that canvas shelves have little to no stretch with it, so don't get mad if things don't line up properly like most people complain in one-star reviews. The best way to assemble is, as another reviewer suggested: screw everything on one side first, then the other. Once 2-3 corners of the canvas are attached, it becomes very difficult to screw in the last screw. Word to the wise, use a small (Phillips) screwdriver to make your life easier. When you are ready to attach the final corner, pull the rod holding the canvas towards you while sliding the rod back on the side brace. I have found that this works best when I pull with my hand and push with my foot while my other hand aligns the screw until it hits the edge of the screw in the hole and then pierces. In addition, as stated by some reviewers. , it wobbles a bit, but flattens out under load. However, the "connectors" for stacking blocks are absolute junk and barely hold them together without risking them falling off. This was fixed with 4 strong zips as I don't like the idea of part of my shoe rack tipping over on me if I bump into it, especially since I'm limited on space and had to fold 3 of them. Aside from minor issues that a star price easily fixes, this is a pretty solid foldable shoe rack that does the job as intended. It's not designed to hold hundreds of pounds without warping, so don't expect it. It's for shoes. If you need something to stand on, buy a stool or metal shelf.
