Don't order black if the faded cream canvas looks cheap. It's not dark enough to be "black". The material is scratched canvas. (I don't find it that prickly anymore) Cheap looks. Weak. I had an issue with the straps constantly coming out of the buckle until I realized that there was a small elastic loop to hold the buckled ends of the straps in place. It was difficult because the loops were so tight. But I could register it. This is now my everyday bag. Too bad I got the color.
