I set it up but couldn't get it to work. So I called my service provider and after playing around with it for 20 minutes he told me to call the manufacturer. Don't you know they have a hotline? The first few times I called there I got a busy signal. That only happens when I call my grandparents, who still have a landline that doesn't work. What store this side of the 1980s allows its customers to hear a busy tone? Well I finally got through and this is the really amazing part. I was detained. Shocker. But every 15 seconds the recording kicked in and told me that I would be disconnected if I didn't press button 1, which basically meant I couldn't do anything productive while I waited for tech support. Needless to say, after pressing the button 10 times, I gave up in less than 4 minutes. I wrote them an email that was perhaps less cordial. Still no internet. And with the help of the internet on my phone, I was able to find a workaround to connect to the internet. I switched the modem mode from PPPoE to Bridge and entered my service provider credentials into my D-Link router, not the modem. For some reason I now have an internet connection. If you are having trouble, try this because calling is a totally useless activity.
