I bought this because I liked that it had a battery holder in the grip. Unfortunately, given the price, the cage is unfinished. After only a few months of short-term use, the pin that attaches it to the bottom plate is already broken, the dial that tightens the battery compartment does not always hold tight, I had to replace the screw with a knob because the one that came with it stopped " grabβ and I couldn't attach the handle to my body. The most unforgivable, the general build-up is starting to go. The cage starts sagging and creaking, and as you probably know, hearing the cage creaking on an audio track is bad. Also keep in mind that in addition to the cost of the cage, you will likely need to purchase accessories as well. This can easily increase the total cost to over $700-$800. I've used it mostly on a tripod and always in a studio setting (which means I've never used it on the go) and I carry all my gear in Pelican cases. So the fact that it has deteriorated so quickly does not inspire confidence that it will withstand more intensive use.
