My other straightener died so I decided to try this one. I was so disappointed when I opened it up and tried it. I had to use a higher setting (on my old one back then) and it still didn't straighten out. My hair was frizzy and I looked like I just crawled out of bed. It doesn't slide smoothly through your hair and is always ready to hook it. It just doesn't get hot enough like my old flat iron. Will definitely be returning this! Save your money!
