Review on Briggs & Riley Baseline Women's Handbags and Wallets for Shopping and Travel by Chris Wyffels

Great bag, not a very good repair

As I travel around the world up to 180 days a year I have quite a few Briggs & Riley items. It should be an integral part of your luggage system. It's big and versatile. I put it on suitcases and carry ons and when you put it on and secure it won't move. Because it's fully collapsible, you can pack it in your suitcase and use it as carry-on luggage on the way home. I've also tested it a few times and it's held up well. I bought it in November 2012 and have done 20-30 rides with it with no problems. Ballistic Nylon really keeps the look. However, on my last ride I noticed a tear in one of the stitching. I used an independent guarantee and sent it back and after 2-3 weeks of waiting I got it back. It was hand sewn and not in a straight line. The seam parted and pulled where someone had sewn it on. I could do better. This bag is $175 and is this how it gets fixed? They may not have been able to use the car to fix it but I was very disappointed as it looked distasteful! I asked B&R to do a better repair and this time they ran into the bag trying to straighten the repair line. I've spent over a thousand dollars on B&R parts so I expected a professional repair. While I believe this is a quality part, it was not a quality repair!
