I bought this product on purpose because it was advertised as being able to be rewired if you rinse off the gel. In my experience, that's just not true. I made sure the surfaces I applied it to were clean and dry (mirror and windshield). Imagine my surprise 5 minutes after driving down the freeway when the phone falls while the mount is attached to my passenger's floor panel. No matter what I do, it no longer sticks. I've washed it and let it dry, even tried to install it without breaking the phone and it doesn't stick. My phone is very light, so that's not a problem. "Suction" does not save the situation. I'm not sure if the product I received is defective or if the description is just wrong. I missed the return window by not trying to re-stick it and then it was too late and now I had a worthless piece of plastic and no car mount.
