Poor workmanship or quality control. The package came whole, but the parts of the goods were damaged inside. Two "legs" are bent around the edge. The gold-lacquered metal frame was missing the paint in some places and had paint scratches in other places. The gold, as one reviewer mentioned, has a mustard yellow finish. Non-metallic shiny gold and non-shiny gold.
