The product is pretty straight forward, claims to be an Oyster Peeler and does the job flawlessly. The extra support from the long wooden handle is, in a word, perfect. Well that's the basic premise that I never knew what I wanted in a knife. Advantages: 1. The blade keeps a sharp edge. (yup!) 2. The blade gets really thick the farther it is from the sharp side. (I was pleasantly surprised at the thickness, just enough to open the case without damaging the blade.) 3. The long handle makes the oyster easier to handle. Cons: 1. I wish it had the option to engrave the recipient's name on the blade.
