
I used them three times in total to grow seedlings. Although I think it's more profitable to use the tilting method, I don't have closet space. When using them, I toss the rungs aside and try to force them to stick to the glass before standing the glass upright. Therefore, a lot of air gets into the rungs if they don't block the hole. There is a nice gap at the bottom of the jar through the "legs" of the lid, but there's no point in adding air there if the lid is completely clogged with sprouts. I like durable plastic and screen structure. They stand up to cleaning, won't stick to the shore when in use, and won't rust like a metal cover. I am very happy with these lids.
