First you need to know that this is a full roll of 20ft LED strips, not 6 pieces. This is good for you to be free to cut to the length you want. The motion sensor works at close range, not at a distance. I need this in my application. So far all the bars I've installed (all vertical) are still firmly in place. The tape stuck to my fingers quite aggressively upon installation and gave me a good grip. But these LED strips didn't have the 3M adhesive logo, only the adhesive areas (2) on the switch. I have used these strips in 3 foot tall cases each with 2 strips vertically on the front edges. The lowest dimmer setting is sufficient for occasional displays in a home environment. If you're using them for retail display cases, the full power setting is very bright and will make items pop. I had to buy more cables and connectors to get my particular setup working. The supplied plugs do not match my installation situation. The light color is also neutral and lets the color of objects appear natural. I imagine they would look great under kitchen cabinets too. You have to pay attention to the fat situation in older kitchens so that the glue works properly! Overall, I can recommend these lights.
