My girlfriend and I had a kitten about a year ago and after playing around with plastic bags and other solutions for his litter for a couple of weeks I decided to give this device a try and man I'm glad I did. It's affordable and eliminates the hassle of emptying the tray. Initial setup was a little confusing, but not the manufacturer's fault as their instructions are very clear. It's just a very cleverly designed device, so it takes your brain a minute to fully understand its design the first time you set up and tie a pouch refill. Once you do it you will never forget it. It's like riding a bike except you collect cat poop! Bag replacements are essentially very long, open-ended plastic bags that you tie at the bottom (and at the top once removed) to get rid of them. We have one cat and he is medium sized at the moment (12lbs) and I would say I need to empty the pouch and maybe get another one from the refill pouch every 2 weeks. Refills will likely last for at least 4 full bags or around 8 weeks of scooping. I see some people have complained about the bags coming out or running out in a weird way, but I haven't had any issues with refills in over a year. If you're using multiple refills, I think these issues might be due to user error during opening or installation? good to go The device is a bit large and maybe unsightly in terms of design, so some owners might want to hide it in a cupboard or something, but we've got it right next to the tablet. When you first empty it and it's just an empty pocket, it's a bit heavy so an active cat playing next to it may knock it over. However, when you have buried treasure, the ground becomes very heavy. All in all, I can't imagine having a house cat and NOT having any of these things. I feel sorry for those who openly do it!
