honestly you get what you pay for and this was the bottom buy among the multi piece drill bits. I only needed 12 through holes for screws in 0.75mm blue hardened steel. I was wrong. Used a drill and used cutting fluid. The first bit's carbide broke before the dent formed. Went for the next bit as I noticed a flaw in the picture. At the tip of the bit, often on large bits, 3 parallel flats are ground for a better hold of the cartridge. The two "flats" on this beat were actually flat. BUT the plane on the left of the image starts at the same depth as the other two but disappears from the center line at the top of the image. This makes it impossible for the chuck to hit without serious hesitation.
