For the price these FRS/GMRS radios really can't be beat. You get all 22 channels and all CTCSS and DCS tones. Unlike most others that use 4AAA batteries or even worse rechargeable lithium batteries, these radios use AA alkaline batteries which produce much more power and offer a much longer run time. They're a little thicker due to AA, but it's worth it for the much longer battery life. The plastic they are made of is an inferior type that can easily tear. So if you drop them on concrete they will most likely crack, and they're not waterproof so don't drop them in puddles or use them in the rain. .
