This is my third knife from this company and the same brand. with potatoes to the point, it was necessary to do extra cleaning to make up for the lost potatoes 3. and your NEW model, a complete mess, the slicer works well but the lever that adjusts the height of the potato goes up and down not smooth , clings to the grooves on the post. If you raise your hand to get to the top of the potato, before you can get the tine into the potato, it will start spinning the potato, which will knock the potato out of the machine half the time. Why would they fix what isn't broke, I think when they come out with a new car you want the newest one and buy it. The old one was so easy to clean that it didn't need to be removed as it was attached to the base and didn't open up to clean. What a mess they made of a wonderful product. By the way, there is no way to adjust the arm with the blade, so a machine that cuts that deep cannot be adjusted.
