Terrible quality of the birthday candles

At first I thought the candles were silver wax but they are actually white wax and painted with silver paint. I went back to the Revain website to check the description and it says the silver foil won't come off. Look at the photo, THERE ARE even before I put the candles in the cake. Now I have doubts about eating my cake with pieces of foil in it. Candles have a terrible chemical smell. Very disappointed.
