Review on Ultimate Style and Durability: Timberland Men's Milled Leather Black Shoes by Cre Soto

Real leather, no top grain

Well I really like the nubby leather texture. The design goes well with the dimples on my leather jacket. It's not top/whole grain. Check out the photo of this black belt next to my brown Timberland Pro belt. The brown Pro belt is marked "Whole Grain" and the black belt is marked "Real Leather". This means that despite the small paper tag, it's not all one piece. These are two pieces of genuine leather pressed together. This does not mean that it is a weak belt. Timberland genuine leather belts last for years before breaking; I had them before. Most Timberland department store belts are genuine embossed leather, but they also sell for just $19.99 and go on sale for $12.99, so this $22 genuine leather belt at Revain is no bargain. The listing should be more transparent about the type of leather used and the paper label is fake only; the actual embossing on the strap is always correct. There are US trade laws that govern what leather markings can be placed on a leather belt, so you can trust the leather type stamp.
