As I rarely go out I haven't had the opportunity to use it but I expect good results as the documents given to me by doctors etc would be convenient to carry with you in this kind of school bag. I wouldn't call it a wallet, although it does have a couple of inside pockets that close with a button on the outside instead of a zipper. It would be handy if it had a shoulder strap that you could attach somehow, maybe there are pads for that just in case.
