Review on Portable Philips Electric Toothbrush with Antibacterial Properties by Liz Clark

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal for on the go! And save battery too!

I bought this set so that my husband and I could easily take our toothbrushes with us on a recent trip abroad. I stayed longer so we couldn't use the same toothbrush and different brush heads. The cases worked great! The case contains a toothbrush (no nozzle) and offers additional space for two nozzles. Perfect if a couple can travel with one brush and separate brush heads OR, like me, can use two brush heads - a regular round brush head and a small brush head for cleaning between teeth and better gum stimulation. It only took 2 things to convince me to buy a lightweight case: 1. The travel case that came with my brush (type 3764) was incredibly heavy! Looks good but weighs more than the brush, attachments and charger combined. As I travel a lot and check my bag often, as I recently did, the toothbrush was in my checked bag, so weight was a big consideration. While the 50 pound limit doesn't bother me, I want my bag to be as light as possible. I traveled earlier this year without a stretcher and at some point during the trip the power button was pushed far enough to turn on the toothbrush so I believe it lasted up to 8 hours; considering when I packed my toothbrush in my luggage in the morning shortly after use, the travel time to the airport (should be there 2 hours earlier!), the journey from the east coast to the west and the time I actually have without packing. it could easily be 8 hours. The next morning my toothbrush made a brave attempt to start up, but unfortunately it was completely empty. And since I was only away for a week, of course I did NOT take the charging station with me! So I ran to the local pharmacy to buy a manual toothbrush which is now used to clean under my nails or to clean the soles of my athletic shoes! So as long as you match the "type" of the brush (remember the model number) on the bottom of the Oral-B/Braun toothbrush to your body, the fit should be perfect. In almost all cases I looked at, the type (model) of the brush was mentioned in the description, and in many cases ;-) it was listed in the title bar. My review is based solely on travel. Haven't had it long enough to comment on "strength" or "durability" but based on how the cases look and feel and given the price I paid for two cases, I would I say that they are definitely worth buying. !Important Tips:1. You can pull out your magnifying glass and hold your brush under a very strong bright light to see the print! It's tiny and I had a hard time reading it even with reading glasses!2. Write it down somewhere for future reference.3. On a trip to Germany earlier this year I was away for a month and my toothbrush was charged the whole time! I thought Oral-B should be commended for a fantastic performance!
