I have this gas cap because the check engine light code lists the gas cap as a possible cause. This item did not fit my car. On the product page it was possible to check whether the year, make and model of your car are compatible with the fuel cap. I did this and was told it would fit my 2005 Toyota Corolla S. That wasn't true and I spent $90 to have my car fully checked for the check engine light. If so, my check engine light would go out. I know this because after completing all diagnostic tests, the reason the Check Engine light came on was a faulty gas cap. So I had to pay another $24 to get a new one. Don't trust the tool you are given to determine if it will work for your year, make and model.
