It does exactly what it's supposed to. I use it on my MacBook Pro. It features a USB pass-through port, an HDMI slot, and three USB 3.0 ports. I use them all daily. It fits well and is on par with the MacBook. The downside is that USB-C ports aren't easy to play with. The MacBook has 4. I need to use one for the security token. The power supply takes another. You can add a monitor to any open USB-C port on your MacBook. Three months later I now see it as a limitation. I just bought another one that only uses a USB-C connector and copies the one used and also has power flow through the connector. Of course, it also has HDMI, RJ45 and USB 3.0 ports. I used to think going from USB-C to USB 3.0 would be good for everything, but since USB-C hubs don't exist, I now only buy USB-C devices that replicate the port they plug into .
