I have a 2005 Honda CRV that burned a quart of oil per tank of gas. Yes, you read it right. The car was scolded before I got it but now I have to fix it. I disassembled the engine and found scrapes on the #4 cylinder wall and a damaged piston. All 4 pistons, rings and connecting rod bearings renewed. I took this honing on all cylinder walls with a little extra in #4. All holes came out perfect except #4 which I would give 8 out of 10 from the factory. You could still see some vertical lines, but it was 95% better than before. Honda's attitude isn't sharpening, just fitting rings, and if you can catch a scratch with your fingernail, the block needs to be replaced. Well I didn't replace my block so this was the next best option. We reset everything and the engine runs perfectly. The car does not burn a drop of oil and the oil is still golden. It would have been black from a gas eruption within 500 miles of it. Very satisfied! and highly recommended.
