Review on Waist-Slimming Capri Leggings With Neoprene & Spandex - Sweat Sauna Pants For Fat Burning And Compression by Ryan Rodriguez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Thinner leg material than expected so prepare to wear under another item

So I received what I expected from the reviews. They came with an,unexpected tape measure. As advertised and mentioned in reviews, only the midriff area has the neoprene. However the rest rest of the pant were thinner than expected - more like tights. And I felt the need to add a pair of shorts on top. Ordered a 2xl, weight about 184 - 186, 5'5"". I'm comfortable in size 12 -14 pants. I feel like the neoprene part is comfortable and just firm enough where I don't feel restricted, as if I'm wearing a girdle. The hip/ leg of the pants resemble a thin pair of opaque tights hugging everything ! As a result, they are very lightweight and likle can fit comfortably under not only a pair of shorts but yoga/ exercise pants. This was a drawback for me, as my idea of layering is a pair of sweats over my workout attire, not layering purposely to workout. I will try them out in a workout and see what happens. So I tried them the same day for a 45 min self directed work out on the spin bike. I could feel a little heat during the workout. It wasn't until I got home and removed the pants, that I realized how much I sweated. I measured myself with them on prior leaving the house and upon return. There was a 1 inch loss of waist circumfrence. So likely lost the water weight as expected. Because of the thinness and need to layer under shorts or another pair of work out pants - which is not my normal routine, I give a 3 star rating. For the effect of what the neoprene midriff does, one could optionally just purchase a commercially sold neoprene wrap for the waist. Which I think I may have some where and need to find.As for the scent the others mentioned, it's the typical smell associated with neoprene products. It will likely dissipate after washing, but returns when you sweat, during a workout. I suggest removing after the workout and placing in a bag to contain the scent.Wash care:It's advised to hand wash. As a long time user of neoprene joint wraps/ braces.I usually just put in a lingerie bag and add to a full load of wash or wash on delicate, then air dry. If hand wash, the material is easily saturated so easy enough to put in lingerie bag, dunk several times in sudsy water, rinse and hang dry. Never put in the dryer unless you want melt them.

Pros
  • I love the way the pants fit while i work out.
Cons
  • Only the waist was neoprene... the rest is some thin stretch material
