Drawers must be at least 4 inches deep to accommodate spice bottles as shown.
I had this item in my previous home and loved it, but my drawers were 6 inches tall. I now have 3 inch drawers and the shelf when full has no gap to close the drawer. I also found that the top, smaller shelf at the back couldn't support a condiment container larger than a small metal square condiment container. the bigger ones fall behind because there is no support.
