***I've only had the duvet for a few days so I'll update later if needed.***Photo 1: The duvet in the duvet cover I ordered at the same time. As you can see this blanket is quite fluffy even in the duvet cover. It has not yet been washed or dried. According to the manufacturer, the slight new smell dissipated after a few hours of airing. Image 2: Conformity guarantee and unpacking instructions included in the package. This is an amazing blanket! The quality is great, it puffs up nicely, it's the perfect weight, it's soft right out of the bag and so comfy. It was well packaged in a vacuum bag and in a breathable cloth bag and shipped in a strong and sealed Revain box. At this point I will never go back to a polyester filled comforter! Now let's move on to the complaints about this blanket. First, if you are unfamiliar with a duvet or have never slept with one, do a little research before deciding on one. This ensures you understand the terminology, production, quality standards, myths and tricks surrounding duvets and are happy with your purchase. I suggest googling third party review sites like supercomfysleep.com and goodhousekeeping.com. Both sides explain filling capacity, construction and cleaning; while supercomfysleep.com highlights the myths and a few other misnomers associated with goose down comforters. Now for specific complaints in the reviews. Noise: All goose down comforters make more noise than fiberfill comforters. My personal experience with blankets in general is that they create a certain rustling noise. If you're that sensitive to noise, you might want to stick to cotton/poly blend comforters and avoid quilts altogether. or invest in a good pair of earplugs. To be honest, I find this complaint a bit too dramatic and too critical. This quilt has a medium rustling sound, the same as fiberfill, and both will fade over time. Different from the picture, especially the down factor: the manufacturer sends this goose down comforter vacuum packed, which removes all air from the product and the bag. This has a decompressing effect on the down and requires it to be spread out and shaken up (shaking) several times for at least 2 hours so that it becomes fluffy again and reaches its full down capacity within a few days. These instructions (see attached image 2) are clearly stated on the paper insert that came with the duvet. If you have zero vacuum packing/packaging experience then you will not understand and mistakenly think you have been scammed. You don't, you just don't follow the instructions. False advertising (claiming not to be filled with real goose down): First of all, yes it is. Secondly, down and feathers are two big differences. Down does not have the stiff and thick feathers that feathers have, nor does it have the same structure and consistency as feathers. The down is very fine, fluffy and fluffy in texture as it is an insulating layer beneath the goose's outer plumage and its feathers/quills are very thin and small compared to feathers. If the animal; For example, a dog chewing (chewing) fluff will NOT look like fluff anymore. Rather, it is crushed and separated by the thin tip, making it look like bits of opaque plastic and bits of soft material. And frankly, it's either very naïve/ignorant, or even worse, to cite a picture of this particular situation (the reviewer imagined the chewed down her dog chewed after chewing a hole in the duvet she had bought) as proof of that use that it was not filled with goose down, hypocritical and blatant misrepresentation of facts. . I have no doubt that this duvet is filled with high quality goose down as the reviews and ratings speak volumes about its quality and manufacturer. Not to mention the manufacturer's warranty on this product. Additionally, supercomfysleep.com lists this manufacturer and blanket as a top choice in their reviews. So I am completely satisfied with the buyer and I highly recommend this goose down comforter and the manufacturer. This is a quality blanket for the price, with exceptional fill power and finish. But like I said at the beginning of this review, be a wise consumer and learn before you buy. Because this ensures that you are happy with your purchase and have reasonable expectations of the quality and design of the product. And I hope you feel the same about this duvet as I do: I will never go back to a polyester filled duvet again!
