Review on SanDisk Ultra 64GB MicroSDXC Class 10 UHS Memory Card + Adapter - Up to 30MB/s Speed [Old Version] by Richard Payne

Memory card is awesome!

Physical design and speed The 64GB microSDXC memory cards are colored red and blue, a clear difference from existing black memory cards. It's harder to lose that way. As someone who regularly uses (and loses) microSD cards, I can tell you that this simple color change makes a world of difference. Besides, he looks chic. If this is your first microSD card, note that it is very, very small, about the size of your pinky fingernail. It comes with an adapter that allows the card to be used in any SD slot, making it work with digital cameras and easily readable on computers. The actual available space on the card is 59.46 GB. It's faster than most memory cards for phones and tablets with Class 6 speeds of up to 30MB/s. I tested the read and write speeds on several Android smartphones using the Antutu test app. Read speeds consistently hit 30MB and slightly more on each test, while write speeds averaged 13.5MB/s. This is roughly identical to the results I got for a 32GB microSDHC card. Compatibility and Conclusions What I feared most was compatibility. Most phones support microSDHC with a maximum capacity of 32GB. MicroSDXC is a new standard announced in 2009 that allows small memory cards to support up to 2TB. The fact is that modern phones do not have SDXC slots. Luckily the card worked in every phone I tested it with. I have connected it to Motorola Droid Bionic, Samsung Galaxy S III and Sony Ericsson Xperia Play 4G and it has worked flawlessly every time. I also tried this with a Motorola Droid (4 stars) to see how it would work on an older device. Again, there were no issues and each phone was able to recognize the card at full capacity and read and write without problems. The card also worked great on multiple Windows 7 PCs and a 27-inch iMac. A Lenovo laptop running Windows 7 had a problem reading the card with the included SD adapter, but this laptop could not read a 32GB MicroSDHC card either. When considering a 64GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC card, two questions ultimately come down to it. Do you need that much storage and are you willing to pay for it? If you listen to a lot of music, record HD videos and countless photos, microSDXC doubles the amount of storage available to you. And it may be expensive, but it's cheaper than a brand new iPod Classic. Again, there were no problems and each phone could see the card at full capacity, as well as read and write without problems.
