Outstanding accessory, trendsetter

Very nice accessory. The keys have nothing special, just a standard layout and tiptoe. They work well, but not as smoothly as we would like. They're well spaced and have a rubbery feel, making them easy to hold and type with your fingers. The mouse pad is comfortable but a little touchy. If you type and let one of your thumbs touch it, your cursor changes position on the screen and you end up typing in the middle of previous words/phrases. It's a little annoying, but I think you get used to it. There are handy additional keys for settings, "Home" and the like. You obviously have to get used to them and their location. Still, a good and convenient idea. The blocks must be correctly aligned and pushed together until the locking mechanism is fully engaged. I've seen others like mine that are half closed, with the lever only sliding halfway to the locked position. Putting them together and checking that the edges line up properly is the quickest way to verify that they're fully engaged. Make sure you connect them completely. After proper assembly, the combined blocks look like a single whole. Colour, texture, finish and size are identical. It would be almost impossible for anyone to know or think that they split into two separate parts. And what a surprise awaits her. The build quality also seems identical to the tablet part. A little heavy but seems well made. And that's good for something you'll carry with you everywhere. Expandability is another advantage of this device. They have two USB ports, and yes, I plugged a 1TB drive into one and Transformer got it right. Even some Mpeg4 movies I originally made for my iPod played. A full-size SD card slot also comes in handy. Allows you to use all the memory cards I've accumulated over the years for my digital cameras. Very convenient. The only interface I haven't tried yet is the mini HDMI port. But I have an adapter cable, so it should work soon.
