First things first. The new rod came in a nice thick, hard tube. Nice packaging. Opened the end of the tube and everything was there. I didn't really need the instructions but the printed instructions were easy to read and understand. I really liked the wall supports. It will hopefully keep the rod up on the wall longer with these. There are 4 supports so i have a spare set. On the end that extends, the ridge is tapered so the curtain doesn't get hooked. The curtain moves smoothly over the taper and doesn't get bunched like so many other rods do. It looks nice and after pulling on it, looks like it should last a long time. Thanks
