Review on 🥚 Gourmia GCU9265 Egg Slicer and Wedger with Durable Stainless Steel Blades by Wanda Johns

This is an egg slicer and it slices eggs so why was I so reluctant to buy it. Well I had my previous egg slicer for 25 years. Small and sturdy, it served its purpose and fit in the perfect little corner of my desk drawer. I dropped it a few weeks ago and it eventually broke. We eat a lot of salads, so boiled eggs are a staple in our household. I was hesitant to buy a longer and bigger slicer that would take up more space in my cluttered kitchen drawer. Yes, I'm stuck in my kitchen pattern/tradition, resistant to change and simple egg slicers! However, this little guy surprised me. It's thinner than it looks but can handle big balls. Also, the slicer part has 2 indentations that allow you to rotate the egg and cut it at two angles, a feature my original slicer didn't have. I didn't think I would need a wedge cutter, that surprised me too. You see I love changing treats for my dogs and they love boiled eggs. Now I can cut an egg and get 6 wedges (treats) as a reward for our behavioral exercises. I feel better when my dogs get healthy egg wedges instead of boxed treats. Caveat: The wires are thinner than my previous slicer, but that means they cut into the egg more precisely and make a cleaner cut. On the other hand, I do not recommend slicing mushrooms or cucumbers with this slicer.
