UPDATE: February 10, 2021 Replacement thermometer arrived five days ago. Came with batteries and sealed box. I put the batteries in and set the switch (in the battery compartment) to the F (Fahrenheit) position. Worked perfectly. This is similar to the other two I bought from another seller and they work exactly. -------------- Original Rating (3 stars) Title: The screen does NOT show the numbers correctly - cuts off the temperature display. Arrived quickly - although the seal was still on the box - but the bottom was wide open (see picture). Batteries were missing. It was in a protective gray cloth case. After putting in two "AAA" batteries it looked great (won't turn on) (photo #1). Turned it on and measured the temperature. When resetting to the LAST temperature (97.7) the reading showed 91.1 (the top part of the numbers have been truncated (Figure 2). The new temperature was then taken and BOTH the current (98.2) and past readings have been cropped (pic #3) current one has been cropped at bottom of number and same problem with previous temp cut above SHIPPING BACK for a replacement have bought 2 others in the past and am very happy with them (from other seller)
